CAMP LITE – One of the lightest foldable bicycle in Singapore!
I’ve always loved cycling and have used my current bike for quite a while. Even though I have been searching for a bike, nothing really caught my eye. That was until I came across an advertisement from Mobot that wrote, ‘the world’s lightest premium quality foldable bicycle’. This instantly caught my attention.
The showroom had a wide range of models, but I went straight to the CAMP Lite. As the ad stated, the bicycle was extremely light. It weighed just 9.7kg, but it can carry a maximum load of 119kg.
The body of the bike is very sleek and stylish, with great aerodynamics. There were different colours to choose from but I was attracted to the khaki green colour.
I took CAMP Lite on a test ride and loved it. I bought it for $849, which was well within my budget for me. Mobot also has bike accessories like helmets, lights, bells, bottles and holders, and much more. I got a helmet, bell, lights and bottle holder at a great deal along with the bike.
It took 2 days to receive my bike. Though the dealer offered to drop the bike at my doorstep, I chose to pick it up from the store as I lived nearby. I was quite excited. I picked up the bike from the store in the evening. The weather was cold and windy and I really enjoyed the ride back home.
The bike is exceptionally smooth. It has a 9-speed SENSAH SL shifter. The gear changes are clean and effortless.
When folded, the foldable bicycle is extremely compact. The initial dimensions of the bicycle are 125 (L) x 56 (W) x 95 (Ht) which is then reduced to 63 (L) x 30 (W) x 61 (Ht). How cool is that! This compactness helps me in several ways. I don’t have to worry about finding a space at home to store my bicycle, I can just leave it in a corner without anyone noticing it. Furthermore, it is very convenient to move the bike in MRTs and buses, even during peak hours.
The CAMP LITE uses a pair of KENDA 14-inches tyres, which have a good grasp onto the ground and I did not face any issues even when I was riding on wet floor. The PROWHEEL crankset is easy to maintain. It can be taken out with an Allen key all by yourself for cleaning and is simple to fix it back as well.
I was given 5 years warranty on the frame and 1-year warranty on the general parts and components.
When I took my bike for servicing two weeks ago, I felt that the Mobot staff was very pleasant and outgoing. They understood my needs and serviced my bike well. I would say that it’s hard to find places like this with quality service and such pleasant staff.
Altogether, CAMP Lite is a perfect choice for people who are new to foldable bicycles and it is reasonably priced too.
